Welcome to the expertise of Master Printer Theo Tremblay. Theo is a pioneer of collaborative printmaking and publishing, mentoring Aboriginal and Zenadh Kes (Torres Strait) artists in a range of print mediums in his Editions Tremblay NFP print workshop, now based in Speewah, Far North Queensland. He specializes in etching, lithography, relief printing, mono-print and screen-printing and works with a diverse range of artists, whose works have been acquired by major galleries and museums in Australia and internationally.
Theo trained formally as an artist/printmaker in the Museum School in Boston, and later at the John Ruskin School of Drawing at Oxford University, UK. He has held many solo exhibitions and exhibited in many group shows. He lectured in drawing and printmaking over a period of 23 years at the State College of Victoria, Institute of the Arts Canberra (Australian National University) and at College of Fine Art, the University of New South Wales.
Theo’s enthusiasm is contagious, and his inventive approach to printmaking and its processes have spawned new ways of producing and thinking about prints.
