Description
Beizan Le is a shark dance. Beizan means shark and le means man. This dance is from Murray Island, one of the eastern islands in the Torres Strait Islands, north of Australia. The shark dance, considered to be a very powerful and spiritual dance, is still performed to this day. It is said that sometimes the shark comes up to the beach to watch the Beizan Le dance.
